Components and assembly of a basic system of home security

The base of system security over your home is similar to some of the free "alarm system or offered as an incentive to make long-term monitoring of the agreements. In general, this basic system includes a control panel, keyboard, transformer, backup battery, RJ31X, motion detector, siren and contacts for the front and back doors. Note that our home, for example, requires two additional contacts in the French doors. Although these systems can be wired, wireless or a combination of both (hybrid), all of our examples are all the cables.

The control panel is placed in the chamber and wire access facilitate short-run at 120 V AC low voltage transformer and dMarc Telco (business telephone service) for off-site alarm monitoring. Basements and utility / equipment rooms are common places for the control panel. The keypad is located inside the kitchen door / garage. The motion sensor is strategically positioned to cover the kitchen and dining room, living room and segments of the hall and the home.

In this case, the low voltage transformer that feeds the system is in the cabinet with the control panel. Although usually found near the end, may be located in a non-container tension throughout the scene. The RJ31X provides a means for quickly disconnecting the alarm system phone line without interrupting service to the mobile home is required by FCC regulations. The RJ31X is usually located in or near the home of the metal control box. Given that a recent study found that about fifty-five percent of residential burglaries entry points have been through the front and back doors (see previous robbery), this system is at least a very basic protection.

However, it should be noted that this system of basic safety at home is not touching any of the windows of the house, leaving unprotected areas room of the house and garage. This gap will be addressed in the "typical" installation of home security system below.
